Unlike a standard bridge that contacts the string at one point, the business side of a sitar bridge is gently curved so that the strings buzz and the effective length changes as it vibrates so there is a slight fluctuation in the note. I never heard of a sitar bridge. Dumb question. Does it create a desired bit of buzz?
