  • Unlike a standard bridge that contacts the string at one point, the business side of a sitar bridge is gently curved so that the strings buzz and the effective length changes as it vibrates so there is a slight fluctuation in the note. Look up "jawari" for more information. This was my second one: a lot of trial and error to make it work.

  • I never heard of a sitar bridge.  Dumb question.  Does it create a desired bit of buzz?
