thanks guys! that padouk should age beautifully too and hopefully get closer to the box color.
bluesheart - that neck is 1.75" at the nut, almost 2" where it meets the box, and goes through the box. same way i built my bubinga 4 string guitar, if you saw that. the strings aren't doubled, this is in the style of a "proper" 6 string guitar, tuned standard or whatever it's called, 25" scale, radiused fretboard...
i didn't open it for photos, as it still needs to be kerfed and there is a wire from the piezo just bangin around in there. i'll snap one and upload it.

Dude that is sweet! How wide is that neck? Strings doubled? Neck through? You folks are killing me not posting any details!!!
