I wanted to play with the sound, so I tried this hollow lamp socket post as a way to change the virbation at the nut. Not sure if I succeeded, but it sounds good ... fretboard is fretless, from the same maple stock I used for the rest of the neck. I tuned it to E7 (E, B, D, G#) beause its new owner isn't a player yet, and 7th chord slide is easy blues.
