  • Hey bug, It was in a non descript tuning when i got it at a rummage sale. i've just tuned it to my liking by ear. There's a great site for all thing dulcimer. The fellow who is making the bone CBG and dulcimer pendants and fobs listed the site on his pictures. I can't think of the name off hand, dulcimer something...

  • Dave whats the tuning then?

  • I've got a mountain dulcimer strung like this. The fat string is at the top. It's a 3 stringer.

  • Yeh I thought we could all learn from this a few old trick from these pics... thanks Dave

It's simple ..I understand simple so works for me...recon there must be a brass sid in there to guide the string through... hope I dont break it! ist got avery strange string set up... like it was for left hand drive?

  • Nice design idea. I hate the 5th string tuner on the neck side. I run my thumb into the string end and put holes in it. It got me playing tenor banjo just to avoid the 5th string poker... Great old banjo!
