Thanks! Yeah, the box is really interesting. The hand carving was rough, but rustic looks good on this old box. I left the slight cracks and gaps it had but braced it a little on the inside for support. Nails are the frets, as my friend wanted that rustic look. Nut, bridge, neck and head are maple. It has some weight to it... The box is thicker than most cigar boxes, so I was a little concerned about the sound it would have. It turned out to have a nice warm sound. I was pleasantly surprised. I used the design and just cut shapes out to create sound holes. I tried to keep the charm of the box.
