First (2 string) bass

Made from an 'Our Chief' 5c Cigar box. Can't remember whether it came from Father-in-Law's workshop or an Iowa junk emporium! Inlayed ebony in mahogany neck/headstock. Pearl fret markers. 80 and 45 gauge strings tuned to GD.

    Nah! But everything is fixed to the underside of the lid. I've got the wiring diagram I used though. Can't seem to get Milva to put it down for long enough to do anything else! Next time it has the strings off though ...

    Cheers, Ted. Yep, It is a 34". I cheated and bought a pre-cut fingerboard, but the up side is I still have the other half to make another!
