After 3 1/2 years of building cigar box guitars I finally finished my first cigar box fiddle. This was before I put the chin rest on. I laminated walnut veneer to close in the cutouts. A small piece of birch dowel serves as the sound post. The neck is red oak and the tailpiece is pecan tied to the endpin with paracord. Bought the fretboard off of eBay. Bought an inexpensive student bow and handed her to an actual fiddle player. Sounds great! Resonates well on the D string
