This is my first build . My girlfriend brought home a grab box from a local thrift store . In it was an old wooden tennis racket ,not too old , but just like one my sister had when I was young . It brought back memories of the first "instrument" that I had "played" as a 4 yr old , my sisters tennis racket . With a history in sheetmetal work and Kait a musician ( that's where the machine heads and strings came from) . I decided to turn that childhood fantasy into a reality. I hammered out a 3" deep dish out of 22 gage galvanized shtmtl and used a stainless steel serving tray as the resonator added a hand carved bridge and fingerboard. That's what started it all .
