I reset the neck and rebuilt the fretboard by adding a thick Black Walnut beefup. Spray paint fret markers and black mother of pearl dots. Walnut pickguard, Tiger maple grill on sound hole. Cook pot lid as reso cover. Tin tail. I sanded off all the finish on the top and rubbed on poly for a new finish.

Thanks Uncle John. I played her a lot yesterday. She's a real singer. It has a nice real reso tone. The beefed up fretboard sure adds to the structure of an old guitar. I think the wood ring for the pot lid adds a lot of strength to the top too. The pick guard is a tracing off the plastic guard that came with Norma. The sound hole grill works great. I thought it might muffle the sound, but it comes through loud and "resoed". The pot lid cover plate sends out a lot of volume too.

A whole lot to like here. Love the fret board the most. Neat pick guard and sound hole cover. Ooh, like the old tail piece too.
