For me, fretting and f holes are the most tedious part of a build. Screw up an f hole and sometimes it's tough to make look right. And yes...the dremel got away from me and nicked the box :-( Now lets hope I get the other one to match?!?!?! I think the effort is worth it though.

Stylish f-holes! I use a hand fret saw, or sometimes a scroll saw for my f-holes. Depends on whether the lid comes off, or can fit under the scroll saw. I understand your 'tedious' comment, regardless!
