The fretboard has a single wire wound around it crossing the top at the proper fret spacing. On the back of the fretboard I twisted the wire to tighten it. Pick guard from 1/16 plexiglass, painted from the back so the surface is smooth. Tuned to C E A so it plays like a uke without a top string.

Nice pic and I like the look. The top to bottom thickness looks kind of large for most hands.
