I friend of mine gave me about 100 BF of air dried white ash he had in his barn - said it was in the way. As we finished loading he threw in two 8 foot 1X4s of birdseye maple leftover from a project about a decade ago. I made these two fingerboards as a test before I even unloaded the ash. Fantastic.
