The guitar isn't done yet, but I'm liking the way this walnut fingerboard is turning out. Usually I ebonize them, but this one was too pretty.

Yup, cider vinegar and rust from 4/0 steel wool, old nails, etc... It works *really* well on walnut. I just couldn't bring myself to turn this one black once I got done sanding.

Do you ebonize it with Iron Acetate like one would do with oak?
