    Wes, The recess is not as deep as it looks (optical illusion) check out the other pics and you will see.

    WOW what a sound recess (second, curved recess after where the box lid is). Good, no doubt, but quite a bit. If you encounter structural issues in the future, make that recess less deep. Mine are about 1/16" and even with more material added at the bottom. Just a suggestion.
