The side dots and fret marker dots are Ripple Paua Abalone , the side dots nearly ended up on the other side - keep forgetting it's a left hand build

Thanks for your comment mate , the only concern i would have with the router method you talk about would be the fret wire snagging on the router cutter ! (the nickle silver fret wire is quite tough stuff), if this happend the fret could be ripped clean out of the fretboard , may give it a try tho on some scrap just to try it as you have got me thinking now ? , thanks for your input mate

Sweet! I've been think'n on the frets, the way you do them. Have you ever thought of glueing the fret in place than trimming them using a router? Pretty soft thin metal. Than the top of the frets could overlap the strip you put in to hide the whata-m-call-its. That make since?
