Cookie tin diddley. 23" scale. Made this one up a couple days ago to take on hiking/camping trips. Made from scrap pine and a spruce (?) yardstick. It's 28 1/2" over all weighs next to nothing and the cookie tin makes a great place to store a home made slide and a couple guitar picks.

I LIKE it Vern! Add holes in the tin top (the lid, now the back if I see it rightly here...) and you have a grill. Git/FishingKit/Grill Kit, add multi-knife/spoon/fork, salt and pepper packets in aluminum foil. Givin' me ideas here!! :) -Glenn
I'll have to try the dark stain next time Uncle John. Just replaced the bolt bridge with a wooden "flying bridge". It cut down the weight (for ultra light hiking) and increased the volume some. Think I might put together a small fishing kit and fire starter to stash in the cookie tin. A survival diddley?

Indeed, an ultra light all purpose survival diddley!
Looks good in the light. You an take it fishing and make sure the fish are of legal length.

Measures up nicely. I have taken the Lowes and Home Depot yard sticks and stained them dark with a nice effect.
yup
Nice, Vern.
Cool! Good work.
