My first CBUke - maple and teak laminated neck, book matched bubinga fretboard standard 15" concert scale. Sounds great - lots of volume. As a bonus - the box is wide enough that it stands up by itself for display.

I did cut the sound hole out of the lid with a scroll saw, but I didn't carve out to reduce the thickness of the soundboard. It is a compressed paper box instead of solid wood and I was concerned about making it too weak for the tail piece I used. I was able to save the yellow and black Partagas emblem from the center of the lid and laminate it onto the headstock - really happy with how that turned out. One of the other pictures in the album has a good close up of that.

Looks great! I like the standing up-feature too.
Did you use the lid as delivered or did you carve it on the inside?
