  Nice!  I've got a bunch of 1940's era Walking Liberty half-dollars I was holding onto, just worth what their silver content is (about $6 each).  Might be a nice touch on some Liberty theme CBG's for the soldiers.

  Good use.  I have some Indian head pennys and nickles I have thought of using, but not achieved yet.  Got some with the dates worn off.

  I collect these coins.  This particular coin was already deface by someone on the back, even though the front was in good shape.  It was worth nearly nothing, so I thought it would be a good personal touch.  It also serves a function as the groundig point for the strings.  I soldered a wire to the back and routed it through the tail to ground.  Si I made things worse by drilling the holes, but it was worthless to a collector anyway...
