Went to visit my grandkids down in New Zealand. They'd asked to build a canjo so I took some fretwire, strings and a tuner. We used recycled NZ hardwood (Rimu I think) and the kids played a very active part in the build. It has a diatonic fretboard with extra 6+ fret and they are realy enjoying knocking our simple tunes..Start 'em young!
