  • Gotta start somewhere that will entice bids. So many guitars & gear for sale these days. But I expect this one will attract plenty of interest.

  • Wow.  Too cheap.  I would have thought about $1K.  But, people here have lots of $.  Except me. (Sausalito , CA -5miles from SF.

  • As requested, here is the fleabay listing:

  • I wish I had good advice to give you on that but I don't
  • Thanks Pick, and yes Harrison, will post the Ebay listing. Gotta do some figuring on a good price point. Haven't decided to make it a "buy now" or an auction list, and if an auction, what to start at to not screw myself if only one lowball bidder.

I'll likely get this on the fleabay today.

  • Awrsome bro! Make you post the eBay link
  • packahge  of yum yum  ;-)

  • Thanks everyone. Figured it was only natural to incorporate my two passions into one build. And yeah Gary, I get it. I started out making lots of cigar box guitars. I found myself needing a new challenge along the way. I've made lap steels, strum sticks, a few six string cbgs, and plenty of small amplifiers. I like small guitars, so the tenor guitar, being four strings, and short scale (21-23") seemed like a great idea. My inspiration for the body comes from my friend Harrison Withers, who made for me a ghetto shorty solid body electric baritone ukulele.

All of us here have an interesting story of how we found this hobby/passion/business/past time. Each of us, as well, have an equally interesting and unique journey in creating these crazy things.

    Cheers

  • I am not normally a big solid body fan, but your instrument is an inspiration.  And I love the idea of the amped case.

  • Great build Ted....I'm working on a amped case myself....very cool!
