  • No Youtube videos either. Living in China is a big information black hole...

  • Thanks for the tips, Michael. I'll check into the Bezdez eBay store. I'm basically unfamiliar with the things that make up the adjustable bridge/tailpiece of an electric guitar. So, I didn't know bridge saddles were parts you could buy separate from a complete bridge. That helps a lot with fabricating your own adjustable bridge (I'm assuming that what these things are actually called). I checked out the 3-string-guitar.com site. Seems their photos are all hosted on Blogspot.com, which is one of the many blog engines blocked by the Chinese government (I live in Shenzhen, China), so I guess I'll see if I can gleam anything from the text that is displayed (there's lots of that). Any good key words I can search on? I think a little imagination is one of those things that I lack, so thanks for responding to my clueless comment.

  • Thanks for the comments...

Lol, there's not too much more than what you see, the mirror hangers are from a local hardware store and the 'silver thing' is a bridge saddle I bought from Bezdez (on eBay), then it's just a matter of drilling a hole in the end for the screw to fit thru and there you have it... I can't take full credit for this, my inspiration came from www.3-string-guitar.com/

and then a little imagination... Cheers

  • I'd like to see some details on how you made the adjustable bridge using brass mirror hangers. I suspect there's more to them than just that. What's the silver thing inside that accepts the string and which is adjusted by the screw in the end of the mirror hanger? A tutorial on making these would be a nice addition to CBN.

  • A real beauty, I like the details and overall design of your guitars.

  • Very clean and understated, just how I like it. Very inventive homemade hardtail. Thanks for the detail!
