John I've just done a short video so that you can hear what it sounds like. When you pluck a string the sustain on it is lovely, it rings forever lol.
John, IF you want side markers, you can wood burn them in or, my fave- drill with a 1/8th inch bit barely into the wood and put a spot of paint in the hole. Use a tiny dowel or chopstick

Wow! That photo just makes it look wonderful. Looks good without fret markers. Do you have them on the side?
Cheers James. I covered the box with tape all the way through the build so I did nothing to the box. The neck I coated in 3 layers of danish Oil.
