AGP #77 - "Pokeher" Modification

A revisit to AGP #77, a Build from January 2014, the empty Poker Chip Case was a $15 Charity Shop find, didn’t have any actual Poker Chips at the time of the original build, but have since had a heap come into my possession, so added some of them to this modification, along with a few other changes, and the fixing of a problem with the top of the Case sagging under the Bridge. The Neck is Tasmanian Oak, the Fretboard is Merbau, and a $6.66 Chinese Ebay 6.1k - Pre-Wired Pickup with Pots, Knobs & Jack, supplies the Noise. :-)

  • Sounds Good 'UJ', make sure the Beer Fridge is full ;-D

  • Well, stop by when the jet delivers. Ames, Iowa 25 miles away can handle a jet. I will bring a couple of trucks and pick you up.
  • "Thanks Bob & RTZ", and yes RTZ, some earlier builds can always do with a modification or two  :-)

  • "Thanks Doug", Yep!, the original Bridge was a bit ordinary, and used wander around a bit, very happy with new one, and 99.9% of my Git builds all have a Hanging Hole in the Headstock, they're nearly all hanging on walls, in cupboards and in sheds.  :-)

  • "Thanks UJ", the main reason for the revisit was to fix the saggy bridge problem, because even thou it's only a cheap arse Ebay Pickup, it sounds pretty cool, the newly added Poker Chips, Pup Surround, Tailpiece and Bridge, where just added extra's, and I'd love to send you 30 or 40 of my builds, it would probably mean hiring a private jet to get them over to you, I'll check the Piggy Bank, but I think I might come up a bit short of funds  :-)

  • "Thanks Rope", the Vol, Tone & Headstock Chips are the Spicy Ones, not sure if its visible in the Pic, but they're Wild Turkey Chips  ;-)

  • Nice, some build are just never done

  • That is a smart looking refurb' AGP!

  • I like both versions AGP. But what caught my attention was the hole in the headstock, so you can hang the guitar on a peg. That is a great idea! I do like how the bridge and pickup tie more cleanly to the body in the updated guitar.

  • I like it. I probably liked it back in 2014 too.   I like the remake better, but maybe would have liked a halfway stage with not quite so much...  I do like the new chip bridge and saddle better and the black on the pickup is a small but noticeably nice change.

I would like about a 30 or 40 of your builds cluttering up the den and basement TV room.  Of course, I would have change some to four strings.  This one sure begs to be played.
