AGP #498 - “Saw 3”3 String Fretless Saw Blade GuitarScale: 584.2mm / 23 inchesStrings : .044NW/.030NW/.020NW/Tunings: GDg/AEaThis 10” Spruce Pine Block Rim Body is the last one of four I built back in March last Year, the Neck is recycled Tasmanian Oak, a Jarrah Stain was applied, and an Acrylic Clear Gloss was then used as a final finish. The 7¼” Tungsten Tip Saw Blade was a rusty discard from somewhere, which I cleaned up with a wire brush wheel in a drill.A Clear 9.2k Alnico Single Coil Pickup is Wired through Volume and Tone Pots to the Output Jack.I thought about putting back on it, but it sounds just fine without one. :-)

"Thanks Doug" I wouldn't have a clue what the resonant frequency of any of my Saw, or Resonator builds are, I just work on the theory, that if they sound ok, that's good enough for me, looking forward to hearing your build when finished :-)
Another cool one Alan! I’m still motivated!!! And … still working on mine. Ran into a few problems. It seems the resonant frequency of my saw blade is F or close to it, so when I play an F the chord is significantly louder than the rest. So …. I 3D printed a black replacement blade which resolved it, but I need to rework attaching the piezo to the back side of the blade. Hope to finish it before next weekend.
"Thanks UJ", surprisingly they're not all that difficult to build, most of the work is in cutting the segments to the right size to get the desired Ring Size, all of the 11 Block Rim Builds I've done to date have been 16 Segment Builds, and I do notice our old mate Jim Morris has built a few 8 sided Banjos, which I will do some time in the future :-)

I like the looks of these builds and know they must be difficult.
