AGP #497 – “Ryobi”3 String Fretless Saw Blade GuitarScale: 635mm / 25 inchesStrings : .032NW/.020NW/.015PS/Tunings: C F cThis 13” Block Rim Body is one of four I built back in March last Year, the Bottom is 6mm Marine Ply, the Neck is Solid Radiata Pine, and the Fretboard is Recycled Radiata Pine, obviously all the Timber was given a hit with the Propane Torch, a Maple Stain was then applied, and a Clear Gloss Spray Enamel was then used as a final finish. The 10” Tungsten Tip Saw Blade was a rusty discard from somewhere, which I cleaned up with a wire brush wheel in a drill, and then coated it with Spray Can Copper Enamel, along with the Tailpiece, Machine Heads, Bridge, Nut, Hang Grommets and String Tree Hook.A Clear 9k Alnico Single Coil Pickup is Wired through Volume and Tone Pots to the Output Jack. :-)

"Thanks Doug", Definitely get inspired and build one, Saw Blades make fine Resonators, just about to start another small Saw Blade Block Rim Build, and will post progress Pics as I do it, and also hope to get a sound sample of this one done soon. :-)
Wow!!! I’m inspired Alan. I have some old saw blades I picked up at an antique store a few years ago with the intention of turning into a guitar. I guess I need to get on it. You refreshed my memory of how cool they can be. Well done! Waiting for the demo . . .
"Thanks UJ", definitely a "Ripper" of a Build, this is actually the fourth Circular Saw Blade Build I've done, and I did look back at 2 earlier Saw Blade Builds, #217 & #219, and noticed that Dave did like and posted favourable comments on them, still have a heap of old Saw Blades left, and still one more small Block Rim Body left to use, so that might be my next build, as the Saw Blades do make fine Resonators. :-)

A cutting edge build from our buddy from Oz. I think Dave Lynas would have dug this one.
