AGP #412 - ''Double Gee''

2 x 3 Strings Fretless Twin Neck GuitarTop Neck: Scale 654mm/25¾ inches, Strings .046NW/.030NW/.020NW/, Tuned GDg.Bottom Neck: Scale 584.2mm/23 inches, Strings: .024NW/.016PS/.012PS/, Tuned: GDg.The Box is recycled Cedar offcuts, the Necks are recycled Grey Ironbark, the Bridges, Fretboards and Headstock Wings are recycled European Beech, all Timber is coated with “Organoil Natural Wax & Polish”, two 12k Zebra Humbuckers are wired through an Ebay, Prewired, 3 Way Toggle Switch, 2 Vols, 2 Tones, and Output Jack.Haven’t trimmed the Strings yet, as I’m not all that sure I like the lighter gauge strings on the bottom neck.PS. Nicked the Bridge design off the legendary Dave Lynas’s recent build. :-)

  • "Thanks Jerry", this prewired harness was one of two, I bought on Ebay many years back, the other one I used to replace the wiring on a Joe Pass Emperor VS - Epiphone, that I've owned for many years.  :-)

  • Yep Dave, it does look a lot like a bowl of spaghetti, but those were the length of the wires that came with the Prewired Switch, Pots and Output Jack, I only had to solder the Hot and Ground wires of the 2 Pups, "Easy Peasy"  :-D

  • Smart use of that prewired harness., almost like they were thinking of your double neck,.. looks like a rocker.,

  • That wiring looks like malaria germs. Or is that what COVID looks like? You are brave to attempt two necks and all that soldering and Pots AGP.
