AGP #291 - “El Rey”(3 String Cigar Box Guitar)Scale: 628.65 mm / 24¾ inchesStrings : .044NW / .030NW / .020NW /Tuning : G / D / g /The Neck is Grey Iron Bark, the Fretboard, Bridge, Nut & Headstock wings are Forest Red Gum, unstained and coated with a brush on French polish. The 8.8k 3-Pole hand wound West Australian Sheoak “Mortal Coil” Pickup, which is hard wired to the Jack, is a bit of a departure from my usual “Tight Arse” ways of using cheap Ebay Chinese & second hand Mag Pups, and was well worth the extra money spent, and while my hearing isn’t all that acute these days, I’m pretty sure there is difference, it does sound great !!!.Done more as an experiment than anything else, the wiring is also a departure from my normal way of doing things, in that I used Auto Electrical Terminals rather than soldering, cost a few bucks extra, but works just fine :-d

Yes APG, there's only one UJ! Most of us get by with just our handsome good looks, and I'm on shaky ground there. Beautiful guitar! #291! When you feel like strumming, how do you decide in your museum of CBGs which one gets the honor? That would give me a migraine . I can't wrap my head around building that many builds, and I've looked, these are pieces of art, no quickys
"Thanks Richard", guys at our age think we have all those traits mentioned by 'UJ', Handsome Good Looks, Sophisticated Tastes and Values, plus a Minty Breath, BUT!!, some may disagree, I know my Missus does :-D
Somebody talking about handsome good looks, that caught my ear and this beauty caught my eye. I agree with Uncle, the guy with the mints, this is perfect. Really like the natural woods. Lots of details in your description, great for a learning man like me.
"Thanks UJ", Yep!, totally agree with your comments, as they say sometimes less is more, I am having second thoughts about if maybe I should have Fretted the Neck, can still be done, but am in 2 minds !!
Love, love, love it. Nice lines, tones and a great head stock. Nothing overly fancy or flashy or funky - I can like those things too - but this one just gets it.

Yep!, handsome good looks and minty breath come naturally to some of us ;-) ;-)
Then, like me, you obviously have the finest and most sophisticated taste and values. (In addition to handsome good looks and minty breath).
