AGP #242 - “Taz”(3 String Cigar Box Guitar)Scale: 622.3mm / 24½inchesStrings : .050NW / .034NW / .024NW /Tuning: F# / C# / f# /The Cigar Box is Solid Cedar sides & Cedar Ply top & bottom, and as the name suggests everything else is Tasmanian Oak. (No “Pianos” were used or harmed in this build :-)The object of this build was to experiment with a few different wiring ideas, I’ve used a few Dual Rail Humbuckers in previous builds which have been wired as a Standard Humbucker or Single Coil (I think?), so the idea was to wire it to a Toggle Switch, so as to alternate between the two, couldn’t find a lot of info on how to do this using only one Pup, but I think I got right!, the Switch when in the neck position reads 8.66k, and 4.26K in the Middle and Bridge positions, and being somewhat “Electronically Challenged”, I don’t know which one’s Humbucker? and which one’s Single Coil?. I also wanted to do a build with just a Tone Control, so thanks to a Ted Crocker wiring diagram, I also incorporated that into this “Experimental” build, it also works, and does alter the tone, but not as much as I thought it would.Any ideas or comments on the wiring are more than welcome!!!!

"Thanks Uncle John", Yep!, it does beg to be played hard, but!, that's how I play nearly all my builds (most of the time!). I usually hard wire all my Pups directly to the Output Jack, so I guess all the Tone only knob does is, to save you adjusting it on the Amp?.
A nice long tall Sally that begs to be played hard. I don't know much at all about the tone knob thing. Interesting to try as you did.
I've got a sound hole pickup to try in one of my storebought tenors that has volume and tone controls. I think I may crank the tone all the way up and leave it inside the git - and just use the volume control.
