A Guitar - Two Boxes

I meant to post this when I posted the finished build. Went through a lot of poster boards trying to get a pattern with the correct angles and the pieces fitting. This was the best diagonal cut pattern for those particular Oliva boxes. They were about 8-1/2 by 6, and were off from each other maybe 1/8 inch. Close enough for guv'mint work. Y'all won't tell, will you? A thin strip corner to corner maybe a half inch at one end almost zero at the other was all I lost. Anyway, that's more or less how I got the body shape. I was bound and determined to have that cigar boxES guitar be made out of cigar boxes, or I was gonna change my new pastime to hand carving toothpicks. Real purty ones. The interior framing is those inside pieces in some of the boxes. And I'm thinking that those tight little dove tails and such made by those highly skilled cabinet makers down there in Honduras and Nicaragua and all must be considered works of art, because ain't nary a woodworker down there ever seen a carpenter's square in his life. Wow! this photo makes my 15 foot studio apartment/workshop/residence look HUGE!
