Racket Tailed Roller II

3 string guitar made from a vintage tennis racket. It has a 20" scale with 19 brass frets, with nice low action so its very easy to play, and you can reach far up the fretboard for extra notes in chords because of the short scale. The fretboard is made out of purpleheart. The fretboard is partly stained and has woodburned position markers to find your way while you play. The HighBird signature is engraved in the fretboard and painted gold. Also the brand name is engraved in the front of the racket, painted gold. It has a very good sounding 3 string pickup, volume and tone control. Wooden knobs, bone nut, Brazilian greenheart bridge with a brass fret on top, golden quality tuning pegs, gold strap buttons, a gold colored lemon squeezer as a tailpiece and a piece of American walnut as a legrest. The bridge sits on a piece of rosewood that has flowers carved into it. The headstock has a scarf joint and rosewood/maple wings. Take a look at the pictures to discover some more details. It's tuned in an open E chord (EBe), and you can play any music you like on a 3 string. It has a nickel wound g string, b and e string. The tension on a racket should not be too heavy, but it does make it very easy to play. It's a compact and very light instrument so super easy to carry with you. :D

  • thanks Ron! :)

  • Those are awesome. I have been working on a few myself but much more barebones basic. Yours have the elaborate detail and are very elegant instruments. Great job.
