  • What kind of string did you use for the Diddley Bow?  I tried broom wire on mine but had trouble getting tension on it

  • Beautiful Trio! What is the scale of the 6 string neck, and how long is the attached box? ( I've been collecting licence plates from MS Delta counties, and I now have most of the 13 ((+ an even better one, though non-delta, Tallahatchie! )), and I've got a Harlan County Kentucky one as well! ) I'm just starting my first build(s), regular CBGs, not license plate ones.....but I'm thinkin' ahead to the license plate ones... whether to build a box, or use a CB....but for my "best plates" ( Tallahatchie, Yazoo, Sunflower, and  Harlan, , etc. )I want to use 6 strings. I have a great SX strat neck for starters... hence the question. ( very few CBs have the length necessary...figure 12"x 6" for the plate, so another inch at least, either direction.....?? )

  • Very nice Selena! It's good to see Waldorf so well represented in CB Guitar Land! I didn't realize there are still trees that big around Charles Co. MD

  • Thanks =)

The neck on the 6-string was taken from an old yard sale guitar. It appears to have a rosewood fretboard and the headstock has a dark lacquer finish with gold paint running through the cracks.

The 4-string has a light wood fretboard (unsure what kind >.<) and the neck was some scrap I found and put a quick rosewood finish on it.

  • Lovely.  What woods did you use for the necks of the 4 string and 6 strings?  Lovely lamination, there.

  • Love em all!
