Applied self-adhesive copper tape throughout interior and on inside of front plate.Initial result: SILENCE! No hum, but no signal, either. Opened up and realized that the jack touched the bottom of the copper-shielded interior. So scraped away a little of the copper tape (a few mm) from around the jack plug and pots. Result: beautiful deep base without hum.
