I spun some resonator cones out of quart paint can lids. I had a set of wooden bowls I had purchased just for the largest size for a yet to be completed (or started for that matter) project. So this is what happened. A soprano resonator dulcimer. 13" scale, 13 frets, walnut neck with a cherry fretboard. black clay dot fret markers on the face with black plastic fret markers on the side, chrome enclosed tuners and a maple bridge. Tuned DAd, only an octave higher than a standard dulcimer. Strings are .011, .013, .017. Sounds a little like a cross between a mandolin and a ukulele.
