Thanks for the comments Bluesheart. The carving was done mostly with an x-acto knife, but I did use a small x-acto knife saw and a 1/2 inch chisel. I don't consider myself much of a carver, so I really appreciate your comments!
Very short guitar. Just over 20 inches. Uses an aluminum ashtray as a kind of resonator. Used a violin style pickup that is placed under the bridge. Bridge and nut are chopsticks (thanks PF Chang's!) Neck is red oak and headstock uses pine also. I am thinking of using nylon strings and adding frets, but I have never done that before....guess I've got to try it sometime.
