On the bridge, if you have a piece of 1X2 then it will be thick enough to build a bridge out of (you'll probably have to remove a little thickness). I didn't have a thick piece of Mahogany, so I glued 3 pieces of 1/4". The top piece I cut in half prior to gluing and put the bridge piece in between the halves for the right spacing. Afterwards, I took a quick connect drill bit and filed the corners on the base down until it fix the hole drill chuck. This allowed me to drill a small hole that fit between the space that I had. You can use the drill bit that comes with the hole saw, but it will leave a bigger hole that will show. It is this hole that you can use to attach it to the top if you wish.
