Hi Don, Yes I did use a piezo in my build. Who know's what my next build will look or sound like. I've thought about making a pickup. we'll see? I think about doing lots of things but time is NOT on my side. I do have a couple of single coils sitting around that i pulled out of a Mexican strat I might try. Cheers!
Black Locust is a native tree here in the midwest. I think there are actually three different types of locust here. The Black Locust has a very coarse bark, looks alot like lines running around the tree. This is my first time to use it, turns out it has a really nice grain pattern, a little green in color but not as green as the Tulip Poplar we have here. Maybe I can get a pic, better than trying to describe.
Hope you weren't offended buy my response, no offense intended. hope you get enough to keeep warm. Here in Missouri we use oak for heat, not alot of ash thanks to the borer. It's great you have maple to work with, can only widh for that here. Went to the sawmill Sunday and picked up some lumber I had cut up, Mostly white oak, some ash and black locust. This will keep me going for a while.
Ah Cheers like the looper it sounds great, I haven't quite got on with mine as cant get in and out of it cleanly..Must try it again... recon you have it licked...p.s like the background music on your page too, must come and visit your page again soon. Best regards BUG
