aluminum guitar was hollow....it was a project i made at tech school ....i dismantled it later...plan to make a similar one in wood...without the sharp point at base...i was afraid if i dropped it, it would injure me pretty good..it needed a few design changes..the tuners broke off the high strings often...but it sustained like a beast...was fun making it...the neck was solid aluminum
