3rd string not as loud as other 3.

I have built my first electric CBG using a single start type pickup on a 45 degree angle. It sounds great except for the third string which is about half as loud as the other three. I would appreciate any suggestions. Wesimage.jpg

How to place humbucker

Does anybody know how to place a Humbucker in a cbg? Does the frame around the pickups go inside or outside the box?
