Bill, I do make my own cookie tin banjos, most tins work but the older ones are made with thicker tin and they ring a lot better. I have also heard old film canisters work well also but I have not tried any yet. Otherwise I just make 3 or 4 stringed ones like a cbg. I do like to tune the high string way up like a banjo so I can play claw hammer though. But I did not use that type on the last cd. Hope this helps and thanks for listening to my music....matt

Man you rock! I really love your approach to music. So very original. Really glad you posted this music for us all to hear.
Kidding!
Bill, you have some nice build photos posted. I wish my frets were as square and nice as yours. Glad to have you for a nation friend. Is March good for a visit to your place in Florida? Linda and I could not impose on you for more than a week or two. Can you cook?
howdy mr bill,,,,cocoa fl here...
I am also in FL. I live in Bradenton, south of Tampa. Only been a member of CBN for a few weeks but I really enjoy checking out the pics and comments of other members. A person could really learn a lot from the very talented and creative builders/players on here.
Best regards,
Chuck
