Hi all: I have several cigar box amps, some I've made using Gitty parts and some purchased from them. I test the guitars I make with them, some piezo and some mag pu. The magnetic pickups work great through the cbg amps but there is no sound…

You were suggested by another member as a source of info about wood hollow body lap steels.
What can you tell me? Are they worth the effort? I'm working on build #3, a 29.5 inch scale, 3 octive, 40" OAL Baritone lap steel. I've been thinking about a wood/metal or hollow body hybrid version of the Fouke baritone.
Also, I see "A" shape headstocks on yours. Do you have a dimensioned drawing? I'm going nuts trying to make them by the seat of my pants, and both have been a struggle. Maybe a source for an 'A' style route template?
Thanks for your time.
Any species of wood that you definitely should not make cbgs out of
