I really enjoyed your music that jumped out at me when I was leaving you a comment.. I have a lap dulcimer that plink around on now and then .Fun to play. I sound nothing like you.
I thought we were fairly close. My time Mar 69 - Apr 70. I've seen some videos of Chu Lai on You Tube form not too long ago. The thought of returning for a visit has crossed my mind but that is as far as it went. How long have you been playing the strumstick and cbg's.
I just listened to your Merlin. Very nice Pine. Have you tightened the screws on the friction tuners. Good tuners will hold tune when those screws are tight. Cheap tuners will be hard to keep in tune and will slip. Good tuners will hold. Keep on pickin Pine. Good on you. .. Dave
Thanks for the info on the Merlin. Watching your photos, it looks like you are a dulcimer guy. I recently made a 'strum stick' with a larger than usual box and a cedar top. Sounds pretty good.

thanks for the listen Pine. as far as recording, i'm using
a Roland VS2480 and i also use StudioOne on a PC.
like most folks these days i record at home. i usualy do
most of my tracking on the Roland, but i like the acoustic
sound i get when tracking in StudioOne, then i import them
into the Roland for mixing and mastering. once again, i really
enjoyed your music. if you ever feel like collaborating gimme
a holler. i play guitar,dobro,mandolin,bass,dulcimer, and just
about anything i can get my hands on or build.
