Anyone else using Mahogany from Menards for building necks? I've not had any specific problems, but I'm used to working with Oak, and the Mahogany is very light, open grained, and super easy to work with. Makes me wonder if it will hold up as well…

Read more…I've used a volume pot on my last 2 builds. In both cases, I get a slight buzz/hum in the background at all levels except high. Once I crank up the volume, it goes away (without playing strings). Any thoughts?
