What best way to mount 6 string pick up for a 3 or 4 string guitar?
Having just purchased a cheap 6 string pick up I was wondering what would be best way to mount the pickup on a 3 or 4 string guitar?.

So i bought one of those pre-wired pick ups from e-bay, turn "tone" down no noise, turn it up get sort of static noise, does the same with the "volume" switch too.. Any ideas on how to cure this problem..

Guitar build with electric pick ups
