Hey thanks for the message-Great to meet you.
Yeah i got a big limb off my black cherry tree sawed up at my local sawmill, not bad for 30 bucks. Now to dry for a year and then planed down to 7/4 - 1 1/2" thick, alot of neck wood and lap steel bodies. Whats not to like about cherry !!!
Thank you for your comments and question. Although, I do not teach this song on CD 1 (Open D tuning 6 string guitar and 3 string CBG / DAd tuning), I teach other Fred McDowell tunes. More importantly, I teach the method and techniques I use to figure out and arrange songs. I believe, armed with this info and getting the basic bass and melody line finger picking technique strong, you will have no problem understanding how to play this song. The 3 string CBG rendition of Wildwood Flower is created using the movable chord method taught on CD 6. Enjoy your practice, Keni Lee
Gracias
Thank you PapaSimone for sharing your performance. Good stuff. I am glad to see you are enjoying the lessons, and they seem to be working out well. Keep up the good work. Enjoy your practice, Keni Lee
I am not sure? you will have to experiment, but you can follow the radio part and cut that or thoose wires so you dont have the bleed thru...but the rest is all just hacking by guessing!
hi,,,saw u asked about a sound link on etsy...cant be done....u can post the link,,,customer will have to copy it and then put it in a search bar...hope that helps...
Hey papa, thanks a lot. That neck is maple and honduran mahohany. the fretboard is bolivian mahogany. There are 11 long strips, plus 2 shorties for headstock width. I tend to be pretty picky about my alignment from nut to tuner, I like the strings to be as straight as possible. I had to taper the neck to accomodate the strat bridge assembly, giving me a nut width of 1-3/4, which is very comfortable to play
