Great work, nice looking banjo and CBG's.
Milton -- Tuners are a dilemma, aren't they? Regular planetary banjo tuners are expensive and heavy (at least for a cigar box banjo), and guitar tuners stick out on the side -- not my favorite look. I started using violin-style pegs on my banjos with regular headstocks 'cause I like the vibe. Even made some of my own pegs on my little drill-lathe. You do have to invest in a reamer and peg shaver, but both can be had for about $30 ea. (on eBay) or a total of around $60. The tools themselves have their own set of issues, but violin pegs in general do a decent job of tuning when properly fitted. Pegs made of softer woods like boxwood, mahogany or walnut are more forgiving both when shaving 'em or tuning with 'em than rosewood or ebony (for me anyway). So, I thought you sold that banjo -- or was it sold in advance of finishing it?
