I have been building my CBG's with 1 X 2 maple. I have given one to a friend and he says that the neck is starting to bow. Is this a problem others have seen and any suggestions on how to prevent bowing would be welcome. Thanks.
I am trying my first scarf joint headstock for a 3 string fretless. I'm using a 1x2 piece of maple for the neck. Does anyone cut the width of the headstock down to accommodate the tuners? The tuner install instructions recommend 5/8" as being ideal.
