Do you ever just not treat the wood?
I posted this on facebook as well, but I'm just curious. Do any of you just leave the wood completely untreated and be done? I'm thinking playing and finger and hand oils will add a "natural petine" after awhile?

I must have done 100 takes, positioning my amp in various places, to try and get a good recording of my guitar, and voice. The sound in the recordings sounded more like my guitar was unplugged. A bit of a bummer, it sounds suh-weet through the amp.
