Hi Kidd, thanks for the comment on the resonator. I put the pickup underneath the cone. I used a hot glue gun to fix another small circle of wood underneath which is glued through the hole in the cone to the biscuit, then hot glued the piezo to this, I found this way it wasn't to harsh with the treble, you can experement with different size thickneses to get the sound you want......by the way that is one hell off an awesome hotrod you got there!!!
Nice Hot Rod, Nice Guitars an Cigar Box Guitars...all what i love...°<[:-) [---]==={
Cheers bud!
Hi Kidd -
Here are a few answers to your questions regarding my 5 string reso:
I'm afraid I don't know. I bought the cbg originally from backporch mojo - but then modified it with the brass reso cone. The chrome magnetic pickup was what big daddy Darren Dukes had fitted. I daresay if you drop him a message he'll tell you what he used.
On my own builds I've been using 3 string pickups made by Juju - a British member here on CBN. I recently built one with a flat Pup from Klangbox.
You can download it from Youtube: Here's a link to my channel:

Hope that answers your questions OK.
