hi Harvey, using same tuning as on my 4 strings G+D+G+b+, will enquire about starting a Lowebow group there seems to be a lot of JL's happy customers hereabouts! (-:
Thanks for the comment. Love the song very much too. Wanted to record it for ages, just found with the lowebow that it is a perfect instrument for performing the song
John Lowe is a good man love his Lowebows i tune mine (D/DAd) to play with a harp John was down in C# but professed to not caring how exact he tunes it he dont need a tuner. him and Ben Prestage both use a sharpie and a hair tie as a capo so low tuning then capoing ya got any key. i've seen Ben play this way half way up the neck. the-other version of Lowebow is 3 string 1 bass 2 guitar all tuned in octaves like (D/Dd). check out Hymn For Her . string gauges? you might try baritone guitar strings there in long scale for bass you my need short scale bass strings measure from the bottle caps to the tuners plus enough to wrap around pick a key you wanta set it up for you can always tune an E string down to D an A down to G and so on you can also tune up be careful. E up to F the neck is strong on mine it dont matter as far as i know with in reason. i use mine in the show good luck did i already answer this?
thanks for the information re the foot pedal...that thing sounds awesome!!!!!!!
so you are coming to professor gussow's harp clinic next weekend? is that at foxfire ranch???? no i don't play harp, but am familiar with professor gussow as he plays around oxford all the time...often, just a couple of songs if he goes to hear a musician or band.....are you from around this area?????
