Do the notches for the strings have to be a certain size? Or a they just a groove that the strings sit in?? Thanks Hal

there is a pic of the license palte gutiar, its on my profile page...i forgot to take a pic of the finished guitar, i had to mail it off for some kids birthday...i made this one for a friend whose grandkid wanted to play guitar, but she was having financial problems...so i thought i'd give it a try\
license plate guitars are great...heres what i learned from building first one....after you build frame for the body, and add wood blocks to accept the screws for the license plate...make sure that they dont get in the way of volume /tonel controls ,etc....i made my first one a through neck, then realized i had to cut all way through neck to mount pickup..then had to work out a way to brace neck...it w as a learn as you go thing
